A coffee roasting plant is more than one industrial coffee roaster. The layout must move green coffee, roasted coffee, smoke, chaff, operators and packaging materials in a clean and efficient flow. A strong machine can still perform poorly if the room layout is wrong.
Yoshan supplies commercial and industrial coffee roasting equipment. For plant layout discussion, contact Leon at +86 18407714607 with your floor size, target output, voltage, fuel type, exhaust route and destination country.
The layout should begin with daily or weekly roasted coffee output. A 12kg or 15kg roaster can support growing wholesale production. A 30kg or 60kg roaster needs more space, stronger handling equipment and a clearer packing flow.
Estimate realistic batch count, preheat time, roast time, cooling time, cleaning time and operator hours. This prevents buying a machine that is large enough but difficult to use efficiently.
Green coffee should be stored in a dry area with clear batch identification. For larger machines, a loader can reduce manual lifting and improve safety. The loader position should allow easy access without blocking the operator walkway.
If the room is small, measure door width, ceiling height and turning space before ordering.
The roaster needs stable power, fuel supply, fresh air and exhaust space. Leave enough room for maintenance access, chaff cleaning and operator movement. The cooling tray should be easy to access so roasted coffee can move quickly to the next step.
Do not place packing tables too close to heat, smoke or chaff dust.
A destoner helps remove stones and heavy foreign material after roasting. It is especially useful for wholesale coffee and packaged retail coffee where quality complaints can damage the brand. Plan the destoner between cooling and packing.
Quality control space can include weighing, sample trays, roast records and cupping preparation.
Smoke treatment depends on local regulations and neighbors. Some facilities use cyclone and chimney only. Urban factories may need afterburner or electrostatic smoke treatment. Confirm chimney route, height and maintenance access before production.
Packing should be close enough to production but clean enough for finished coffee. Plan space for bags, labels, scales, sealers, nitrogen option if needed, cartons and finished goods storage. A poor packing area can become the bottleneck even when the roaster has enough capacity.
Before buying a large roaster, draw the workflow from green coffee receiving to finished carton storage. Send the floor size and target output to the factory so the quotation includes the right equipment, not only the roaster body.
Send your country, target capacity, voltage, fuel type and business use case. Leon can help check the right Yoshan coffee roaster configuration and export quotation.
