The right machine must match your daily production target, local fuel and voltage, operator skill, installation space, exhaust conditions, and growth plan. Many buyers start by asking for a catalog or price list, but the best quotation usually comes after a short capacity check.

A 12kg or 15kg roaster is more suitable for wholesale supply, supermarket beans, online coffee brands and regional distributors. A 30kg, 60kg or larger roaster should be planned as part of a production line with loader, destoner, smoke treatment and packing flow.

Do not choose only by the biggest batch size you can afford. A roaster that is too large may waste gas, slow down testing, and make small orders difficult. A roaster that is too small can create labor pressure when orders grow.

Gas roasters are common for commercial and industrial roasting because they provide strong heat response and efficient production. Electric coffee roasters are easier to install in some locations, especially where gas approval is difficult. Before ordering, confirm your local voltage, phase, plug standard, gas type, and whether the building allows exhaust ducts.

For international buyers, the quotation should clearly list voltage, frequency, gas type, plug requirement, motor power and control system. This avoids expensive changes after the machine arrives.

Check Automation Level

Manual control is suitable for experienced roasters who want direct control over heat and airflow. Semi-automatic systems help improve consistency while keeping the equipment easier to maintain. More advanced control options can save curves, repeat roast profiles, and reduce operator error.

If your team is new to roasting, ask for training videos, manuals, remote support and recommended starting profiles. Good after-sales support is as important as the machine body.

Plan Shipping and Installation Early

Buyers often ask for the machine price first, but shipping can change the real landed cost. A factory quote should confirm packing size, gross weight, sea freight or air freight option, destination port, and whether the customer has a freight agent in China.

Installation planning should include floor space, ventilation, chimney height, smoke treatment, power cable, gas connection and operator safety. For larger machines, plan the loader and destoner at the same time so the workflow is efficient from the first day.
